How large is this tattoo? Laser removal is charged at around £.60. a square inch. It may take several sessions to get rid of the tattoo. You call yourself `Charlie` is this Charles or Charlene ? If you are the latter it is sometimes possible to get NHS removal ( yes very sexist, alright for the girls and not the boys). However if the tattoo is in a prominent position and is having a negative effect on your work or private life to the extent that your health is suffering, it is still possible for a man to get NHS treatment. See your doctor, he would have to refer you to a specialist in anycase. I seem to recall a clinic who were involved in laser tattoo removal, a few years ago. They were called The Eden Clinic. I`m not sure where they are, it is in the UK, possibly London. If you type ` Eden Clinic Tattoo removing` into your computer, it should come up. Good Luck to you,( don`t `beat yourself` up about this, we all do daft things when we are young, but some of us are not left with a constant reminder of it like you are !)

I researched laser removal and it's quite expensive, takes multiple sessions and has variable results. In the end I decided on a 'cover-up' - a new tattoo that is more to my taste done over the old one. A good tattoo artist can advise you.

search online or in the phone book. its about 100-300 a session and you may require numerous sessions depending on how far gone you want it and how big and dark it is. don't expect to look like you never had a tat there. ther will be spots of grey and a lil lite scarring. but you can remove enough to be able to cover it with almost anything instead of a big black panther. check with your artist after each laser session to see when you have done enough to start healing for a tat cover up.

Hey Charlie. You ought to live with your tattoos. They are a part of who you are. Unless you had "CALL ME STUPID" tattooed across your forehead. Anything else is quite acceptable. I have heard that removal is very expensive and painful. I know it is possible to get some sort of makeup that covers tattoos and birthmarks and it doesn't wash off with water, it needs special stuff to get if off. It might be worth a thought.

removal is very expensive. is it that you no longer like tattoos or you just don't like what you got? because getting coverup tattoos worked best for me. i love tattoos and didn't not want any, i just wanted better tattoos than i had. i am so happy with my coverups and have gotten other tattoos since.
