why are people giving a "thumbs down" to people who are interested in the state of the country that they live in?
Isn't it more important to make sure your own people are educated and properly medically looked after and the country is a beautiful place you are proud to leave to your children rather than helping an imperialist nation destroy half of the middle east on OUR taxes that we pay for OUR country?
What is really important to you people?
I don't understant how people can support a pointless conflict that initially had NOTHING to do with Britain before supporting their own people and children.
Look at the state that Britain is in! Imagine how much we could have done for our children if we weren't too busy spending money sending our own men off to get killed in another country's war.

Easy answer Hospital's, schools, road's,and immigration.
Point 1) Hospitals the state of them is terrible and nurse's and doctor's shouldn't have to work under those conditions 2) Schools are suffering by lack of funding, lack of teacher's and class size's 3) Roads, our road network is in a terrible state, and the motorist is being penalised for it, it's OK saying we must get out our cars, but whats the point when the trains don't run, the bus's don't stop for you, if they turn up at all !! 4) Immigration, instead of cutting back on officer's and boarder's we should have tighten up on these points, then we would not have the problem we have today. I was going to add prison's to the list, but if we had improved our education, tightened up our boarder's we would not need more prison's .

Well, lets see 1. The Olympics(So Londoners don't have to foot the bill) 2. University fees (So young people are not saddled with thousands of pounds of debt) 3. Improved NHS (Pay and conditions) 4. Childcare for working mothers. 5. Build newer hospitals. 6 Revamp old council houses. 6. Build newer schools ( some are so old that they are a danger) 7. I could go on forever on this.

Nothing, as that money is the defence kitty for military means only and if it wasn't used for Iraq it would be used for for some other military offensives somewhere else.
There is always a kitty for emergencies such as war,
and war only.
