I've been to Basic Training, but because I am split option, I have to finish High School before I go to AIT. I graduate next year, because I dropped out and then got back into High School. My Dad is going to Iraq for the second time and my brother who is over there for the third, just got extended six months. My views about the war have changed...and I just don't want to be a part of the Army...Is there anyway that it is possible to get out before you ship out to AIT? I wont be shipping until next summer. Until then I have to keep attending these pointless drills at the RTI (Recruit Training Institute)) When I would just rather get on with my life...

If your unit still does allows it, they will discharge you if you don't ship inside a year of completion of BCT.

Also, they can discharge you for unsatisfactory participation.

There's no reason to talk a Recruiter, you've already been accessed.
