Well it depends on why you want to adopt a 17 year old Korean girl. It's best to adopt young when children aren't so ingrained into a particular set of ideas. Really, if she's 17, then you wouldn't be much of adoptive parents since she'll be able to leave in the next couple of years.

Sounds like you have a long way to go before you will be ready to make a decision. You aren't even married yet and you are making plans to adopt a child? Slow down. Yes, there is a need for loving homes for older children, but you need to be more settled before you can provide the kind of stability necessary. And YOU, Seahawk, need to examine your motivation, your attraction to this 17-year-old. Your fiancee may know something about you I don't.

If you are really close to the young ladies age, I don't recommend it. Let someone older adopt her. My suggestion is to adopt small children or a baby. It sounds like you two are pretty young;
