No - birds need to lay eggs and hatching them in flight would be quite a challenge.
Probably the nearest you will get is the Great Albatross which travels huge distances foraging for food and only really comes to solid ground to breed. It was once believed that they slept while flying but it has now been found that they get their sleep during their travels while floating on the sea.
In heraldry the Martlet (a sea bird) is always portrayed as having no legs so this may have been believed to spend its entire life in the air

The Wandering Albatrosses do. The bird is one of the heaviest to fly and it had the longest wingspan. Landing and taking off on rugged coasts can be quite a problem and anyway the bird wanders far offshore. So it has adapted to a lifestyle in the air, feeding mating and even sleeping on the wing. Sleeping while flyiing is not a problem when your huge wingspan alows you to take advantage of powerful updrafts.
I believe the female comes ashore to lay eggs and raise its young.
There are certain species of swifts that spend most of their time in air, I'm not sure which ones.

I don't think so. I searched for the african bird listed above and found nothing of the sort. It would be possible to mate in the air, say while floating on a current, but eating & drinking would be virtually impossible.

Well I can't be positive, but using my common sense I would say NO. That would be virtually impossible. How would a bird find food and water in the air? How would it sleep? Mate while flying...I don't think so. Even if that was possible, how would it lay/hatch eggs? I think you're bird lives in fantasy land.

The African Bangaloradian.
They've developed a marsupial pouch in order to lay and hatch eggs while in the air.

I don't think it's possible to fly and mate at the same time. Pretty risky if you ask me.
