Refurbished means that it broke under warranty and they were able to fix the problem. I would think it would be ok to buy them...maybe if you can check into what was wrong with the speakers. Hope this helps!

Refurbished means that they were sent back to the manufacturer for some reason or another, and they were repaird and re-certified to be sold again.
The item may have:
-Been a return
-Been a broken item that was sent back
-Been a leased item that was returned when the lease was over
-And so on.
I've purchased refurbished stuff and I've had no problem. Make sure the price of the refurbished item is substantially less than the same thing brand new.

"Refurbished" means renovated or renewed. the article substitute into used, taken back through fact of a difficulty, then restored to fulfill producer high quality standards and re-bought. Refurbished products could teach *constrained* indications of use yet could be in suitable working condition. So if the iPod is scratched, it is going to likely be minor and not on the demonstrate. i offered a refurbished effective Mouse online, you does not have been able to tell the version between it and a clean one. Cosmetically and functionally, it substitute into suitable.

From what I understand refurbished means used and fixed. If you trust they did a good job fixing it then by it, otherwise with ipod speakers it might not be a good idea...

It usually means that while not being new, they are "like new". I got a refurbished cell phone once....they're okay, just not great like the brand-new-out-of-the-box look
