it dosent harm a budgie and leopard gheckos eats grit or sand to help with digestion. i dont no about humans though. i wouldnt.

you may develop the need to lay eggs, chickens eat grit and i dont think its a pure accident that they lay eggs, so be careful out there.

depends on the grits composition. but mostly no. it will likely contant base minerals similar what you get in bottled mineral water
