Personally, I would stick with the VQ35DE in the Z and modify the heck out of it. It cant be cheap to buy and install the 5.6 motor into a Z. Plus you are adding more weight to the Z and probably throwing off the weight distribution.
I would hit up http://forums.nicoclub.com/ for more information.

QX56 engine is too big... One would have to do a lot of modifications to the body of a 350Z to fit an engine this big. To be honest I don't think that will even be possible. I agree with the first answer, mount some turbos on that V6. 350Z, if modified right, can easily put down 500+ hp to the wheels...

I seriously doubt that the qx56 engine will fit into the 350z at all let alone have correct motor mounts etc. It will be far easier to do mods on the 350z and achieve the same results while spending only a few thousand dollars.

Yes, like these dudes said, go to Stillen.com and look into getting a supercharger for your car cost about $5K and will give you another 100 or so horsepower depending on what model you choose. A Supercharger is a cheap(relatively) mod that shouldn't hurt the value or driveability of your car. Adding a bigger and HEAVIER engine will affect the way your car drives big-time. Plus, wouldn't you need a new transmission to match with the engine?

It would be much easier & cheaper to do performance mods on the 350Z engine.
