Uh, she is talking about a tampon--not a pad. tampons (and cardboard applicators) you can flush.

Pads & plastic tampon applicators you wrap up in tissue and toss in the trash. I have little tiny scented bags that i put the pads in when i throw them away--those are found in the same section in the store as the other fem products.

Contrary to what some other said........I would be upset if my guest flushed a tampon - that is a BIG no no.

Wrap it up in toilet tissue and bury it in their wastbasket.

Dont mess up their septic system by flushing a tampon. That is very inconsiderate.

Well at one house I went to, the wastebasket didn't have any plastic linen in it. I didn't want to flush it because I didn't know how well their septic system was. So I wrapped the used tampon with lots and lots of sheets of toilet tissue. I put it in my back pocket (I was wearing jeans), went outside and tossed it in their outside trash cans. No big deal.
