them. In her answer to my question she kindly informed me, in broken english that a 4th grader would use, that unless I repent I will burn in hell. Is she teaching people the love of Christ or the fear of Christ? Is a God that relies on fear compatible with principles of goodness and love that we associate with God?

You already know the answer to this... it's a fear-based belief system. Believe in Jesus or face eternal torment.. that's what they call a loving God.
The true creator of the universe wouldn't be as petty as the god of that bible. If god has to scare me into loving him, he isn't worth my time.

If she really believers that then she is only doing the best she can. I am also Christian and i believe God loves everybody, even extremist like her. Don't worry God will probably teach her how to love everybody eventually too. God Bless you and have a beautiful day.

I was a Scripture Teacher and you do not teach a child that, we were told never to force a child into repenting otherwise they would go to hell, if we did that was instant dimissal. You teach a child that God is a good God and he loves you and read stories from the Bible

God Bless You

You could use many words to describe God. Love is one. Vengeful is one. Just is another.
Only when you realize what you really are can you truly experience the love of God. Right now we share in all His blessings around us wether we believe or not. It won't always be this way. One day we will all be judged and we will continue on in eternity. Where do you want that eternity to be? That person is trying to lead you to the right path. You have to be aware of your condition in order to take the cure. Otherwise, you won't treat the cure seriously.

Not turning to Christ will ultimately get you a place in hell. That is the truth according to the Word of GOD. To tell the truth in love is still the truth whether you like it or not.

She mistakenly believes Jesus wants her to tell people that. But that is no way to win someone to Christ. And she doesn't have the authority to send anyone to hell and she does not speak for God when she says that. Jesus had more to say about living this life than the next.

That is not the kind of love I would want. Wow. I'm glad my parents didn't view things like that... they probably would have stuck me in a hole in the ground somewhere. *Love me or in the hole you go*. That's not love. Even if I said I loved them, it wouldn't be love....

Fear, like what she has displayed (or insinuated that you should have) is not compatible at all. You can not Love, in the sense they offer, something you are terrified of.

Odd that the Bible states that God does not give a "spirit of fear" yet, according to his followers, uses Fear as a way to get Love from people.

God is all knowing and loving, theres no burning in hell or whatever other scare tactics they use. Knowing God is something you do from the heart.
