All great religion and evangelical are poverty industry.
It profits the religion than the people who is the church.
Great Religion as the source of income and a shield to privilege and I called them, "The Butcher-Gods".
$37 million restoration of the ancient basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, Italy.
Los Angeles cathedral cost is estimated at around $200 million.
The New York City "Opus Dei" headquarters cost $69 million.
In Corporate Religion is growing status is seen in all kinds of businesses. I think that Jesus is the product for this Corporate Religion.
The money suppost to go to the church members and if you still believe your church is placing too much emphasis on finances, you should welcome your concern because money in church, they think more of their money than they do of God's work.
They took more than what they give.
The ones in church know they are vulnerable and that everyone is. That is why philanthropy makes so much sense in religion and why religion is so important to philanthropy.
Jesus said, "No one can serve two masters. ... You cannot serve both God and Money" Matthew 6:24.
The Bible says, "Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver" 2 Corinthians 9:7.
Money isn't God: So why is the Church Worshiping It? Is Jesus a big business? Christian messengers are very different from those of days gone by.

Pastor Billy says: in time Yes they do! You do know that evangelical is simply a name switch from fundamentalist right. They realised fundamentalist was beginning to get bad billing in the press and hence the name change. Back to your question absolutely they do after awhile new converts begin to see the holes in the theology and doctrine also the vast divisions amongst the differing evangelical missionaries is not the greatest testimony to them providing a message of truth now is it. In the last 2 decades there has been a surge of prosperity preachers and mega-church construction by these folks which to a Catholic as myself I have to laugh at as they are always telling me my Church takes all the peoples money and does no good with it.

Yes. Its sad the ones that are not living the way they should and are not doing what God wants them to will have there day of judgement. There is still good out there we just have to stay close to God and read his word and he will let the truth be known. God Bless!

No. More are turning to GOD through the truth. Emotionalism stifles the truth. When a person is brought to the knowledge of GOD through emotions they are easily mislead. /when brought to GOD by the truth it would be self deception nnot evangelicalism that turns them from GOD.

It doesn't help when the ultra right-wing Christian Coalition spends all their donations on political campaigns instead of programs to help the poor and sick.

Those who do not like evangelicals, are generally hostile to religion in the first place. They are the ones to blame.
