It's really simple. Your kitten views you as her mother, her support, and someone who is always there. She feels comfortable and safe with you so much so that she doesn't feel the need to purr. There are several reasons why cats purr. Cats purr with people they dont know or if its someone they aren't around much, or if it's a new experience. It doesn't mean your cat loves them more. It just means your cat feels totally at ease with you. My cat Bella is six years old, she doesn't purr when I hold her but she sure does purr when others hold her. But she totally loves me and knows I am her mommy.

wow, um.... strange behavior. Im guessing either tough love, psychotic, or your getting too clingy. My cat is the sweetest thing ever when he's alone with our family, but hisses and spits at all strangers. We've never had a cat act like that before so we think he's just psychotic. If she has any other strange behaviors, like she's a lot more wild than other kittens, or she gets very nervous or anxious, try Feliway air freshener. you can't smell it, but it helps to calm cats down. The scratching might also be playing.

I don't want to sound mean but the reason she does this is because you probably annoy her. If you pick her up and play with
her too much she will eventually get sick of you. When this
happens there are a lot of different methods to get her attention again. This one is the most effective.

IGNORE HER! Don't pet her, talk to her, or play with her. Don't even stop and look at her. Eventually she will get lonely and cling to you like a supermagnet.

(Also if this doesn't work consider maybe she just hates you)

I have the EXACT same thing. My youngest cat is such a daddys girl. My husband is a truck driver and is sometimes gone at night. When he is home, Matrix showers him with purrs at night and looks at him so lovingly. When he isnt home, she gets all depressed. She comes on the bed purring thinking her dad is there then just sees me and storms off. Dont take it personal. We dont choose them. They choose us. Its not that she doesnt love you or anything. Its just that daddy is hers and you are the disciplinarian, feeder, and play thing. She loves you too but shows it in a different way. Trust me, I know what its like to not have the Purrr honor but its ok. I still love her just the same.

Cats are very picky creatures... and unlike dogs, they don't suck up or try to gain your favor. If they don't like you, they don't like you and there is nothing you can do to change that. It may not be you personally, but something about you that the cat does not like ( a smell, something you wear, a sound you make ). Sometimes as they get older, they get used to you and will be more friendly, but if your kitten already doesn't purr for you now, then it probably never will.

I think you are expressing to much attention to the cat. You need to focus less on the cat and let the cat come to you. Keep feeding her and taking care of her, but don't over do the playing and the holding. Cats will come to you when they want your attention.

in the event that they may well be anybody that has died: Heath Ledger. I have no theory what we'd do, although I comprehend it ought to be superb. Or... Jimi Hendrix. we'd jam jointly. that could nicely be fantastic. in the event that they might desire to be alive: Ahmir. i be attentive to that could technically remember as 4 human beings, although I fairly want to fulfill all of them. they might nicely be so large. and that i may well be backstage at their stay overall performance in Boston on Sunday. that's what we'd be doing.

Maybe its because you give her a lot of attention, and she appreciates that. She's just looking for attention from others. maybe you're trying too hard and should give her a little space and let her be for a little bit, then she might come around and start to like you. GOOD LUCK!!!!
