Ok, I have a darkish brown hair which is thick and curly and I sometimes straighten it. I am going to the hairdressers soon and I am not getting much taken off the length apart from having it relayered. I would like to dye my hair but not the whole of my hair, I would like to have some interesting streaks in my hair or anything interesting hehe of some sort. I'm not sure, I would like something different but not too original as I am only 13 so have to go to school which there are rules about. Has anyone got any ideas? I may want to bleach it blonde but I'm not sure how to have it done lol. xxx Thanks :)

Oh I should also point out that I have had my hair dyed for quite a while now, it isn't my first time, I am not having the whole thing done as I said in the question as well.

Oooo!!!! Maybe you should get some blonde highlights, not to extreme, BUT STILL VERY PRETTY!! Or if you want to look weird but also pretty, get some blue highlights or maybe even electric pink!!

I think the best thing to do to your hair - if it the first time is just to put in some highlights. I know what it is like having brown hair and being young - you want to look chic however still be able to go to school without being yelled at. Try some lighter highlights - you can ask the hairdresser which color she/he thinks is best for your level of brown. Or, if you want some color: I had some friends in school that actually colored the second layer of hair - so that you cannot see it when your hair is down. When you put part of it up or in a ponytail - you can see the color. I think purple would be fun if you have dark brown hair. It blends in and is so much fun! Just don't bleach your hair - you will be sorry (grows back ugly and ruins your hair) Good Luck, I'm sure you will find something that you really like!

You should do really long layers- they look SO pretty in curly hair! I think you should do lighter brown streaks that look natural. Ask your hairdresser what he/she thinks would look best. Definitly don't do bleach blonde! It might look weird next to your skin color, and your roots will be obvious in a couple weeks. And, in case you haven't noticed, burnette is more in than blonde now! Not that that really matters, you should do what looks best on you, but I just had to add that!

Dark brown to blond would be a very drastic change. You shouldn't stray too far from your natural color. Something that drastic would require lots of maintenance....dark roots and damage to the hair. Try adding some highlights in a lighter shade than your natural color. Just consider all the upkeep on that kind of hair. Can you afford to go every 4 weeks to maintain it? Good luck to you!

Bleaching your hair will damage your hair. Especially when your hair is so dark, If you want blond it would be best to go with a darker blond or maybe a light brown.

Well im 16 alot more style sense and i think you bleach it blonde and youd have to get it done at a hair dresser place but after you should put honey brown highlights in your hair or streaks your choice!!!

hey sweetie...don't start messing with your hair color at this young age...you will ruin the texture and will end up with more problems than having to straighten it every once in a while..if i was you i would have my hair dresser layer my hair to where my curls are nice and neat..believe you and me you will not be happy with the streaks and will want something differnet later on..and different later on..and so on...

Leave the hair alone. You will not like anything that you can do to it at home. Go to your hairstylist and let her help you decide.

I wouldn't do much to it... curly hair is perfect on it's own. it doesn't need highlights or anything.
When you go to your stylist talk to her about it, he/she would give you ideas and you can decide on which one is best.
