Believe it or not, I eat my oatmeal raw and uncooked. I mix 1/3 cup of raw oatmeal into 1/4 cup of organic yogurt and a tablespoon of homemade jam or chutney for sweetening. I generally eat this either in the morning, or an hour before dinner to cut down on the size of dinner serving, and to aid in digestion.

I like to put the uncooked packet of instant oatmeal into a bowl of plain or vanilla yogurt.
(If the yogurt AND the oatmeal are plain I add some brown sugar & cinnamon)
I usually have some sliced peaches with it too.

I love to cook some apples and raisins together in a little water just enough so it does not cook out..like just to cover, then add some orange zest. A little sugar if not sweet enough and dash of cinnamon. When the apples are soft then I let it cool while the oatmeal is cooking and top each bowl with the apple mixture....
We love it with buttered toast!

Good luck to you,

Try steel-cut oatmeal. It is great by itself!
For pure decadence, I like cinnamon and honey in it, too.

I like the Maple and Brown sugar flavor, just add butter if I'm using instant oats,

If I'm using slow cook oats, butter, vanilla, pinch of salt, and then top it off with the maple and brown sugar on top
