It's BELOW her rib...sorry. She's been to the docs, but results get back on Thursday, and I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing, and it was just benign, or if it's more probable that it's cancer.

Under her rib? A lump on the skin? Never seen or heard of that.

This may help.....Benign skin tumors (non-cancerous)

It could be a cancer or just 'gas' trapped that produce a lump. Like a bag fulls of air. If your mum feeling tired, fatigue or lost appetite, then it could be a cancer.
At this point, no need to worry. Ask your mum to see a doctor for a comprehensive check-up. At the same time, reassure her that she is going to be fine and try not to stress her more. You could help her with cooking, tidy-up and spend more time with her. She needs your support and let her know that you are 100% behind her if anything bad happens! She needs your support.

Good luck!

It could be a benign tumor. Or it could be cancer. Your best chances for finding out are going to a doctor and getting it checked out.
