I bet you none of them would admit their shocking ignorance in trying to answer this question.
*I'm sure there is a reason packer carefully avoids explaining what he understands by evolution since he imagines a separation between 'micro'evolution and 'macro'evolution - Its just evolution, OK?*

Few verse to your question.
God said, "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9
The Bible is pretty clear that we are not "good" on our own merit.
God said, Showing that God is truth and all men are liars. Rom 3:4 The Bible shows men in their natural state all to be liars.
Darwin think himself wise & expert but it would be foolish to place your confidence in him in such matters.
God said, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord." Isaiah 55:8

A lot of them are clueless. I had a teacher in elementary school who tried to promote creationism by comparing the Big Bang to shaking around necklace beads in a shoebox.

They seem to think it's a combination of abiogenesis, cosmology, Darwinian theory, and Satanism. In fact it's only defined as genetic change in species over time.

evolution is change over time. evolution is true within species. for example more and more children are being born without their wisdom teeth. however to say that man evolved from an ameoba with no brain that decided itself that it wanted to evolve is ridiculous. Yes, God created man, the world, and everything in it. Science itself says nothing comes from nothing.

Evolution is a gradual change in the physiology of organisms, plants and animals. It assumes that creature change to adapt to their environment. Something that occurs over a period of thousands, even millions of years.
Interesting, though, how evolution created accidental intelligence to the level that man has achieved in only one species. Why didn't nature create other intelligent being to the level of man as well. Why are other creatures left without the capacity to create tools to the level that man does? Or to build dwelling as complex and long lasting as man does?
You see. evolution only gives a very narrow explanation of the physiological aspect of man. It does not explain any other aspect of man.
Where does intelligence come from? Where does our ability to think and reason to the level that we do come from? Don't tell me it was developed through the evolutionary stages because abilities all other animals when left in the wild live entirely off of instinct. Very little of what they do when left to themselves is learned. While it is obvious that different animals have different levels of intelligence, none have achieved the level that man has. Apparently we did it all on our own.
Nope, the theories of evolution involve too many coincidences for me to be able to accept it as fact that there is no intelligence behind creation.
To me, it can not be just a coincidence that the planet earth just happens to be the right size at just the right distance from the sun and just happened to have the right elements on it to foster life. Then it just happened that water formed and then out of nowhere, little living microbes began to form. Then, somehow the little microbes decided to band together to begin making other things. Some became plant while others became animals.
The ones that decided to become animals started out as little fish, but that wasn't good enough, some of them got bigger and bigger and some kept getting bigger. Then some decided that swimming around in the water was not enough so they started taking little peeks to see what was going on outside of the water. So in order to survive outside of the water they had to develop lungs to breathe. boy, that was quite a change, but it sure was nice until they realized they couldn't go back into the water. But, oh well, it's all good. But some of them still weren't happy slithering around on the ground, so they just had to grow legs to move around better. That was really cool until some of them realized they were completely bald and sometimes it just gets really cold. So, in order to keep warm, some of them grew hair, but only the ones that stayed on the ground. In the mean time, some of them decided feet were not enough, they want to fly. Just think of how much land you could cover if only you could fly. So some began to fly. An boy was that great, but it gets cold up there in the sky and those other guys just look silly with hair, so they decided to grow feathers. Some of those new birds decided that flying through the air just was not what they wanted, so they came back to earth and stopped flying, they just decided they wanted to be bigger, so now we have big birds that can't fly. In the mean time, the hairy guys also didn't like other animals stealing their eggs, so they decided to quit laying eggs. As the hair came on, they figured out how to carry their young with them until they were ready to be hatched (or now born).
They moved along pretty good at doing these types of things for eons until some of these four legged land dwellers figured out that they really only needed two legs for walking. The other two they could use for other things like helping them gather food. But it was hard standing upright, so these malcontents had to change their physiology again so that they could stand upright. Oh boy, that was better.
Some of them really started to get smart and start using tools. They found sticks and stones and realized they could be used as tools. But their poor cousin across the way just didn't get it, so the ones smart enough to really begin to use tools just left the dumb ones behind. But because they really started experimenting with tools, they realized that their hands just were not shaped right. Just think how cool it would be if the thumbs could be rotated just a bit so that they could really grab hold of these new tools they had.
Now, intelligence really started to take off. They had opposable thumbs. Too bad those sorry slobs they called cousins couldn't see how smart it was to evolve like this. But these new smart guys began to see that they could take a strip of leather from another poor animal (probably cousin Bob who just didn't get the evolutionary process) and with that leather strip, he could tie a stone on to the edge of a stick and then have a real tool he could really do some damage with.
Do you not see all the coincidences that just had to occur to get us to where we are today? Can you really, honestly tell me that all of this was really just an accident and there was no intelligence behind it?
I'm sorry, but that just does not sit right with me. And I know that it does not sit right with God.
