My friend told me about a local company that delivers them on Valentine's Day for a very reasonable price.
She's not a girlfriend. I just thought that she might appreciate it.

By all means, send your friend a rose for valentines day. She would probably really appreciate your thoughtfulness. You can always sign the card, your friend XXX if you want to avoid her getting the wrong impression. Females like for guys (even guy friends) to acknowledge them on valentines day. You're sweet to make the effort. Happy valentines day (in advance).

Wow, I would be impressed especially if I got it with a simple note like 'wanna be friends?' or something along that line. Not sure if you already have established a friendship or not. If so you could just enclose a note saying looking forward to our continued friendship or growing friendship or I appreciate your friendship. A good friendship will develope a strong relationship.
Since I gave you this answer and it's a pretty good one, can you send me one too? I'm not gonna have a Valentine this year - I got my head stuck in books and never looked up I guess.

Don't ! A rose is a very strong statement to a woman and while most ,if not all woman love getting roses, they want them from a very special guy. You, as a stranger, can't merit this status yet, if ever. The rose puts her in an uncomfortable and unfair position where she feels pressured to accept or reject your advance. I don't think you want this to happen.

Sure! Maybe send it on Feb 13 instead, she'll be the talk of her work gettin a rose a day early :) Definitely write something friendly on the card so you don't mislead her. Have fun!

Roses mean love, affection. So what feelings do you have for her or want to show her.

Step on if thats what you have in mind or you will be sending the wrong signal

If she told you because she thought you might like to send some to your girlfriend then one to her would be kind but if she was hinting for herself then she has idea's and you shouldn't lead her on

Roses have a very specific language based on color. If you want to send a rose to someone who is a friend send yellow roses. If you want the friend to be more than a friend send yellow roses tipped with red. (Means you are falling in love with the friend.)

she would more than likely appreciate it....but if you don't want to be more than friends just make sure to write friend on the card so that she doesn't get the wrong idea
