Today the Holy Spirit prepares and leads people to come to Christ. The Spirit manifests the Lord to us and opens our minds to accept the truth to come into communion with God.
1 Cor 2:10 but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
1 John 5:6T his is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
Eph 1:13
In him you too were chosen; when you heard the glad tidings of salvation, the word of truth , and believed in it, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit who had been promised.

1 Corinthians 2:14- Excellent vs!
John 14:17
the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
John 15:26
"When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me.
John 16:13
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
-Anyone can know what the Bible says, but many do not understand it- and that is why God gives us His Holy Spirit, when we are saved- because it is God who teaches us all truth.

In the end of St Luke's gospel there's an account of how the risen Jesus opens the mind of some disciples on the road to Emmaus, they recognize Him in the breaking of bread, the holy Eucharist and He opens up the scriptures to them.
