marinating is unnecessary unless you have really inexpensive cuts of meat. Then you can marinate them in anything that will tenderize them. If you use salad dressing, it is a matter of taste. I would use red wine and olive oil or black tea.

Depends on what you like, as far as taste goes.
However, if you're looking for a scientific difference...
The oil in the Italian dressing (I'm not familiar with "Sicilian" dressing) will give you meat a nice moistness if you grill or broil.
The vinegar will break down the meat. Which will make it more tender, but can also render it mushy.
Honey mustard contains some vinegar, but not much. The mustard seed, itself, can provide a small amount of tenderizing power.
In the end, you can't go wrong with either (again, assuming the dressing is what I think it is). They both sound yummy.
P.S. With certain meats, like chicken, you're better of putting the sauce of AFTER it's cooked or at the very end.

Definitely, you should use the Italian dressing. In fact the best thing to do would be to marinate the steaks for about 4 hrs., two hours on each side, and depending on the type of steak that your using say a Mignon, you would want to wrap a piece of bacon around it while securing it with a toothpick. This is a knock way to grill a steak and your guest will enjoy every bit of that succulent, moist, juicy bites. Enjoy.

When I broil or grill steaks I like to rub them with olive oil then pat fresh ground pepper and salt over them and cook them at room temperature. I would not suggest a honey dressing anything sweet will tend to burn. Check the Italian dressing you mentioned for sugar content....if it has a high number I'd make my own Italian dressing.
Take 1/2 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup red wine vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black ground pepper,1/2 teaspoon oregano and 1 clove of garlic minced.
Mix well and place steak in this mixture and let sit refrigerated for at least an hour or more. Then go ahead and broil or grill it.
good luck to you,

I'm going to have to go with the Italian dressing. Honey mustard gets funky when cooked.

Wow. If I had a boyfriend I wouldn't dress up like that anywhere. Heck, even without a boyfriend now I don't dress up like that! She's obviously an attention seeker. If I had a boyfriend I'd dress up nicely or casual, but not to the point where I look like I'm in a bra and underwear. I'd rather wear a cute dress or on comfy days a nice pair of jeans and a cute top/sweater/jacket on top. Yikes. Not booty shorts and a cloth on top. -.-
