He is approx. 11 years old. He is suffering from FIP. Lately he has been getting worse and worse. This morning he could not stop throwing up. He lost control of his bowls and had diarrhea.
I am trying to do everything I can to help him. He is my baby ! I love him more than you could ever know. I can't drive and am trying my best to get a ride to the vets STAT !
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of what I can do until I can get him there.
Thank you !

So sorry to say but everyone is right. I lost a cat to FIP. It was horrid. At this point you really need to get to the vet. Call a cab anything you can think of. The poor thing is only suffering. I promise you will never forget you little love but there will be a place for a new one. I have 3.

He's at the end, I'm afraid to say. I know the pain in losing a pet but at that age, it's inevitable. The cat is suffering and the vet would be the only one to help comfort him at all. There may be nothing he can do but put him down. I do understand how traumatic this is. I lost my cat like this after I'd owned her 15 years. She was the same age as my daughter and it was like losing a child. Chin up, time heals all. Good luck with your decision.

Unfortunately, no, there isnt anything you can do. If hes vomiting you cant give him anything orally, and he will become dehydrated pretty quickly. Im sorry you have to deal with this, FIP is a horrible disease, we can only make them as comfortable as possible till the time comes when you have to make a decision. Good luck

Make sure he is drinking enough water. He must be dehydrated with the throwing up, etc. just like a human.

I'm so sorry, it sounds like your baby is in a bad way - one of the hardest things we have to do as pet owners is to love them enough to do the right thing for them, even if that means letting them go to end their suffering. Our thoughts are with you and your poor puss.

that is really stressful... i would treat her like you would treat a person... don't give her anything to eat, just a drink, and it helps settle their stomach, i would also recommend pepto bismol. that helps too, it did for my cat.
