I hear this is excruciating pain, lol...which I HOPE I can handle...but should I chicken out before tomorrow @ 2:00 where else would you suggest? I have a tatt on the top of my foot an dback of my neck, so those spots are taken. I was considering my calf as well...any suggestions? I was set on the ribs, but up for suggestions. Thanks so much! ribs is pretty bad. if the artist is willing to give you a super deal on multiple sessions go for it. just don't let em pour up all the colors and then be crying after the outline. pace yourself. it can be done. but dont bite off more than you can chew in one sitting.

Congrats! Just keep remembering that you originally wanted the tattoo for your ribs, if you change the location, will it meet the original idea that you wanted? I've also heard the the top of your foot is quite painful as well. So if you've gotten that before, I'm sure that you'll be able to handle the ribs. :) Best of luck!

Yes, it will hurt. Any tatts on the bone are going to hurt like HELL! I would go for someplace a little meatier, like the calf or back. Have fun and good luck!

If you chicken out for the ribs, get it on your leg, either on the thigh or on the calf area.

go for the ribs!!! that will look great (assuming your artist is a good one) i would love to see a picture of it after it's completed. but you could always opt for your back if the ribcage won't work. i have a back tattoo and the only part that REALLY hurts is the spine. good luck!!

i'm sure you'll be able to handle it! if you've got the tops of your feet done, thats one of the most painful spots. the pain is temporary, but the art is forever - get it done where you want it!
