To start a religion all you need is one gullable person and you are on your way! Look at all the goofy religions out there. God need not be part of the plan, and usually isn't.

This is the projection theory of religion developed by Ludwig Feuerbach in essay The Essence of Religion, which in turn influenced Sigmund Freud, who popularized the argument in Totem and Taboo.
It is a fair question, but not a strong argument, per se.

The aspiration for something more. The desire for that to be true. Reflection on high thoughts. The simplicity not to have to understand them. Somewhat balanced I suppose but incomplete as you could go on and on. Religion itself is an idea.

Not balanced.
Psychiatrist Carl Jung: "Religion is instinctive...."
Scientist Frederick Hoyle: "It is easy to show that religion in man persists, despite all persecution against it."
Religion, that is: a desire to know and have a relationship with one's creator is innate.
We are made that way ......because God would also like to have a relationship with us.

YES!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!! I get sick and tired of people always preying on each and every subject.
High minded Rely-gious people rely on the low minded people
The low minded Rely-gious people rely on the high on high minded people
an intelligent minded person is spiritual.(you either spiral up or spiral down)
How you spiral is the key because what goes around, comes around. So how do you go around?
