Static comes from the ions in the air during winter. If you spray your brush with Static Guard - it makes your hair oily. I have tried this and its awful. The best thing I have found that works is take a little hand lotion or hair conditioner and dab it LIGHTLY on your hair and then brush or comb. Spraying the brush with a bit of hairspray will temporarily help too. Also, make sure you use a conditioner after shampooing .

(Your brush does not have the static - your hair does - because of the ion change during cold weather. We usually only notice static electricity in the winter when the air is very dry. During the summer, the air is more humid. The water in the air helps electrons move off you more quickly, so you can not build up as big a charge.)

Spray it with a little fabric starch. I used to do this all the time when I had really long hair. works great. It helps keep the static out of your hair too.

i assume the logical thank you to make useful the static gets out of your brushes is to first make useful the hair is out of your brushes (if there is strengthen in them). to your hair - as yet another poster pronounced - take a dryer sheet and run it over your dry hair - i've got finished this with my wonderful fly away hair on those extra advantageous staticy days and it somewhat works for some administration - on no account tried working the dryer sheet over the comb too - hummm

i spray a little Thermasilk Spray in Detangler on my brush, then to get the static out of my hair i spray some on my hands and then finger comb through my dry hair. it works pretty well, makes my hair smellgood, and look shiny, but not oily (at least, if you dont use to much!)
hope that helps!

You just stop brushing your hair or put water on the hair brush.

Spray hairspray on it, or buy an anti static brush.

Run it under cold water. Or spray it with an anti-static spray. Or wipe it with a fabric softener sheet.
