There's this guy I know and we're just basically texting each other with the occasional phone call.I would love for him to want to do something with me on valentine's day but i doubt he's into that kinda stuff(he has a terrible memory when it comes to holidays and dates). What should I do? should I bring it up or wait for him to? And if he does should I buy anything for him? And what?

If you have to wonder about this, this guy isn't your Valentine. Trust me-when you have someone that is truly a Valentine, it will have been worth the wait. If you force it, it will most likely fizzle in your face. Just enjoy yourself!

You should bring it up casually, like: do you have any plans for Valentine's day? If he asks you why you ask just tell him you think it's a nice time to have a dinner or just go out!
As for a present, it depends how far you're into this relationship, it seems like you barely know each other, so many you could buy him one rose just for the fun of it! He might appreciate it and you won't feel dumb if he has a present and you don't. It's like a little special thing!

It seems like you're unsure of your status. Don't wait around for a guy to bring it up. Why don't you go out and do something fun on your own, treat yourself! Or plan a girls night with your friends. Things happen when you least expect them too. But if he does bring it up then by him a card or something!
Good Luck!

If you guys aren't dating you don't buy him a gift. If you're going out on a date, then go out on a date for Valentine's day, just kindly ask him if he's doing anything and then ask does he want to do something. If he says yes then ask him what he wants to do and if he would like to do it together. Good luck hon!
