We just adopted a 10 wk. old shepherd/lab mix and I don't think she's been around people a whole lot. We have her in a crate while we are at work and let her out when we get home and then take her outside to potty. The problem is everytime we approach her or pick her up she squats and pees all over the floor. Is this something she will outgrow or is it her breed? She is absolutely adorable and playful and we love her to pieces but the hubby and I are going to have a hard time if this is a permanent thing.

Potty training is one of the harder jobs you will have training your puppy, but be persistant and keep taking the puppy outside, especially after eating and playing. Usually within 30 minutes of these activities. Make sure you praise her when she potties outside all the time every time and your puppy will get the message. It's good that you crate your puppy while your working, they feel safer in a confined space.
