My friend is wanting to experiment with Mushrooms "shrooms" and cocaine. I am really worried about her and I want to know what are the SIDE EFFECTS of these and at when is it too much? Any information on what these do and ways to persuade her not to do it will do so much help.

I know people can die if they take the wrong types of shrooms, and I know people can go overboard with coke and get addicted prety easy. I have no idea what the mixture's effect sould have.
I know that some people have bad trips on shrooms sometimes, so maybe she should make sure she is around people she trusts and in a safe environment if she decides to take either.
It would be tough to try to talk someone out of taking this stuff, so I would just express that I (you) don't want to see her going overboard and doing more than just experiment, so thsat if she does do this, it will be a one-time thing.
I tried coke once, and it did nothing for me, but I hear that it can turn people into complete asshats. I would advise against coke very strongly...it is not worth the potential addiction. As for shrooms, I would really be concerned that she doesn't take the wrong type..it could seriously cause damage. There are some shrooms that look *exactly* like the happy shrooms, but are poisonus. A few kids up at the college by where I live have died from taking the wrong shrooms. So the county had to eradicate the all the natural shrooms that grow locally. Yikes.

Firtsly having done Shrooms once I would say its amazing for a while but the comedown is the worst feeling ever.
Cocaine on the other hand is only addictive to those with money. People who are just your average Joe dont get hooked of Yale as they cant afford enough to get hooked. Its £40-50 in Britain for a gram so its very expensive. I have had it loads in the past and it was amazing for the time it lasts. I bought 3g and my mate bought 2g and we sniffed it for hours. If you want the buzz to last longer tell ya pal to neck a few didz ( XTC ) before and she will be of her box for hours.
People who have never had drugs can give no opinion and those effected by the death of someone who has used XTC, Coke or weed were just unlucky. Millions and Millions of people have taken these drugs and very few have died. I dont condone the use of drugs and I my self no longer do them but when i did i was happy I did because it proved all the things i was taught about them were lies.
If your friend wants to take them then she will as its her decision but I would stress to her that shrooms are not worth it. The cocaine though if shes not rich then i wouldnt worry as shes not going to be buying Keys of coke any time soon.
I am only 19 and i smoked weed from 14 - 18, Took XTC from 16 -18 and Coke from 17 -18. They did me no harm, i did no harm to anyone else i just have years of stories to tell from nights of all night ravin and house partys that will be ledgends to the next generation. While your young live a little, take a few riskd and the settle down. Your life will be so much better and your in a better position to give advice to your own children should they ever become interested.
Sorry I havent given you any real ideas to persuade her not to but this is my experience

Well I never snorted Coke before I only smoked it (relax not a crackhead I smoked capped bowls or laced blunts)! Coke is going to make her heart race is all I can tell you about that! If its cut with alot of ether thats no good! Shrooms wasn't a big deal for me but everyone is different... She will probably get moderate visuals (change in color ... nothing psychadelic I just noticed color change when watching tv)! If she does Coke the high won't last too long! Shrooms on the other hand last a long time (most of my friends threw up and I did not... I ate an 1/8th)! She could freak out since it is her first time and have an anxiety attack! She could react to both in negative ways! I know everyone gets tempted to experiment but I would advise her not too! make sure if she does Shroom she isnt driving anywhere! I'd advise her not to do it... Some things arent worth the risk! LOL yeah shrooming last forever and it gets old... Alll I wanted to do was go to sleep yet I was wide awake! It is a long trip my friend and if your not enjoying the trip (having a bad experience) there is nothing to do but wait it out!

Well for one even if you are looking out for her best interests it's not right to tell her most of the LIES that others have listed on here.
Too much cocaine can kill you, but most people cannot afford an amount to do so.
Do some research from a reputable NUETRAL source on both drugs, don't trust anything you read on here.
Too many shrooms can kill you but you will most likely vomit first. The wrong shrooms can kill also but if you are buying them you are obviously willing to take the risk. A "trip" from shrooms does NOT last 12 hours.
Basically try to disuade her from doing cocaine at all costs, it is highly addictive, expensive, and detrimental to her health, but if she wants to do shrooms just be a good friend and stick around to keep an eye on her when she trips.

You know that these drugs are illegal for a reason.
Shrooms are poison and thats why you "trip"
Look at all the crack heads around? Its an easy hell to fall into. There is an imaginary line that one crosses where the use of the drug is no longer recreational. It becomes manditory. I've been down that path and unfortunetly there is nothing that you can do to stop her. Her curiousity has already taken hold.
But I think you are being a good friend by researching it for her. You can go to recoveryzone.org and look up all kinds of info on those drugs. Or just type in side effects of shrooms or cocaine on a search engine and you should come up with all kinds of info. Check it out and don't follow your friends lead.

first of all, how old are you? how old is your friend? if you and her are under 18 then go to a parent. (hell, even if you're over 18 go to a parent....) talk to someone you trust, anyone at school, counselor, principal, parent, police officer..... anyone. If you're in school, some schools will ban you from certain events or recreatons, or even expell you from the school if they find out you're doing drugs. Some jobs (most jobs) will run drug tests, and if you're found that you've been taking anything, you could lose your job. those are just the 'side effects' of doing them, that's NOT physical.... then go for the ones that are phisical.. she could get high (rare for the first time... usually, you get sick, because you're taking too much or not enough). but chances are much better she'll get sick, or bad enough that she has to go to the doctor, and the possiblity is there that she can die. It's great that you're trying to look out for your friend. Keep it up. and if you have to, do something drastic to keep her off the drugs. Call the police. Detox (if it gets that far) is better than being so addicted that she loses you as a friend and loses her family, friends, school, job, money, home, respect from others........... it's totally not worth it.
good luck, and if you think you're going to lose her as a friend, then you're doing the right thing. she will eventually come back around... it may take a while, but it's better to be clean and sober than a crack head drug addict. She will respect you for that, even if she says mean things, and tells you she doesn't want your help. In the long run, you helped. I had to do the same thing with my cousin..... she was my best friend, and went on a drug binge for 7 years. i didn't speak to her once. I didn't want anything to do with that lifestyle. it broke my heart, and she said some mean things,,,, but now, she's been clean for 2 years, and has a beautiful family, and we're best friends again.

Any and i do mean ANY illegal substance is going to be obtained from an unknown source. Beleive me that mean they can be laced with anything. I know a gal who tried Cocain that happened to be laced with LSD. She still goes on trips without any warning. She can't drive or go anywhere alone. Thats not the worst you can get though. Illegal drugs can be laced with piosen, toilet bowl cleaner, and toxic metals.
Then the shrooms could actually be any number of deadly look alikes. The only trip you'd get from them is in a herse.
If thats still not enough to steer her away theres the reality of addiction, overdose, and drug induced schizophrenia. They can happen anytime that includes the first.
Get your friend to a councelor asap.

Dont do either. Cocaine could be more addictive, and could kill you the first time you do it.
Shrooms are just nuts! It lasts about 12 hrs. Less addictive, harder to find, and keeps you out of function for hours.
I could fine way better things to do with my time.
Tell her to smoke a joint - and get over it. lol

Any amount of cocaine is too much.
Shrooms were used in spiritual rites by Indians but you cannot be sure that you are using the right ones & so many are so poisonous that they may kill you.
Id tell your friend goodbye & meet new friends that arent so stupid.
