i wanted to kno if i can upgrade it without buyin any cd fromt eh internet if possible

Depends on if your system can handle XP. Check to see if you have a HD and memory etc enough.. Then I would recommend you backup all datat you really want to keep and then format your HD and do a full install. Upgrade IMHO are always crap.

I suggest you save all of your information on your PC to a CD or a USB flash drive, then put in the XP CD, boot from it, then format your drive and install it fresh.

Buy legal copy of windows xp
format your disc and format it as NTFS sytem File (for faster performance)
Install fresh copy of windows xp

why upgrade,,, it is better to install winxp and keep your old win 98 se too,,, just put your winxp CD and when ask you,, choose to install it on another drive
