Are you ABSOLUTELY sure you have heat rash?? Read the following and get in contact with your Doctor.

Itching during pregnancy is a common symptom. What many women don't realize, however, is that sometimes itching can be a sign of a liver abnormality called intrahepatic (within the liver) cholestasis (pooling of bile salts) of pregnancy. When associated with itching, the skin component is called pruritus gravidarum. It is a rare condition occurring in 1-2/10,000 pregnancies in North America, Asia and Europe. In Chile it occurs in 2% of pregnancies, while in Sweden it has been reported in up to 14% of pregnant women. It is more common in the last 3 months of pregnancy and with twin pregnancies. It recurs in subsequent pregnancies in 60-70% of women. About half the time it is associated with yellow jaundice. The stillbirth rate and rate of neonatal death associated with fetal distress is increased about 3-4 times.

Itching During Pregnancy

Pregnancy itching can range from a nag to extremely uncomfortable and can appear in many different areas on a woman's body. There are also many different causes that make the itching appear. It is good to know however that itching during pregnancy is a common symptom.

The most common cause is dry skin, also known as xerosis, which can be caused from a pregnancy woman not staying well hydrated. This can be fixed by a woman increasing her intake of water and rubbing lotion on the itchy areas every day.

Other causes for itchy skin include a liver abnormality called intrahepatic (within the liver) cholestasis (pooling of bile salts) of pregnancy, chicken pox, Fifth's disease or a possible reaction that you are having to your prenatal vitamins or a new medication you have started on. If you have a rash that will not go away, or is accompanied by a fever, you should consult your doctor.

Some women may experience some vaginal itching during pregnancy, not just itching on the outside of her body. This itching can be caused by a sexually transmitted disease, or an infection, but is more commonly caused by the change in your vaginal PH level. Yeast infections during pregnancy are also very common and can be the cause of moderate to severe itching.

What Can You Do?
Before trying to treat vaginal itching with over the counter or home remedies, you should consult your doctor or midwife to rule out the possibility of any STDs. If it is determined that your itching is being caused by a change in your PH level, there are several things you can do to try to relieve the itch.
Run a bath and add baking soda to it
Make a paste of baking soda and water to put on the itchy areas
Place a cold compress on the itchy area.

In my experience a heat rash can easily be treated by popping along to your nearest supermarket and finding the frozen food aisle. Find the frozen peas, which should be in a big kind of tub thing. There is a special reason for this. It is so people such as yourself can jump in.

Also, sandpaper might work, but that is just a load of rubbish from my untrained and unwanted assisstant. Sorry.

Go see a pharmacist.
You may be able to get some piriton, but im not too sure if you can take it when pregnant. You need to check first.

Otherwise calamine lotion, or aloe vera gel.

I'd suggest aloe vera gel, it's good for itching & is cooling; however I donot know if it's safe if u r pregnant (best to ask at ur local healthshop). This one is supposed to be good:
