That's a very interesting question. I would HOPE that everyone would try to get their affairs in order and not COMPLETELY freak out. I'm afraid there would probably be mass chaos of some kind, which would ruin the next 30 years for all of us. Hopefully everyone would come to terms with the fact and we could all join together to celebrate our last years herre on this planet. But that is only my hope. Who knows if we could actually accomplish it or not.

Excellent question. The truth be known, the human race DOES know the earth COULD be destroyed in 30 years. What are we all doing? Not much different really than we have been doing for the last 100 or more years.
Perhaps recycling?

Spend 29 years insisting that the people who identified the threat were alarmists, or engaged in a conspiracy.
spend the next 11 months having investigations to convince themseles they had fixed the blame on someone else
spend the next4 weeks telling everyone the situation was under control
spend the last two days burning at the stake anyone who suggested the coming disaster wasn't God's will.

we already know the world will end on December 21, 2012. look it up at wikipedia.org. we are doing nothing, we keep going as if nothing will happen in the slight chance that it will. we may act like we know so much but it's all just educated guesses. therefore, if someone says "we can see that earth is going to perish in 2037" then we can only assume they are correct. but, what if the person is wrong? what if whatever they calculated was not right and earth in fact does not explode or whatever? then we took all the drastic measures and now our society is trashed. anarchy and chaos would ring out throughout the world, and we'd all end up dying anyways. it would take 50-100 years for all that to iron out and society to slightly rebuild. in order for us to be successful we must continue going day by day as if things will never change, until they finally do......

I am really seriously getting sick of all this talk about how humans are ruining the earth and how dumb we are..ok first of all i was just born here and have lived life as I was taught!! I would do whatever I could to help the planet out,, but no one is telling us what to do??? Who is to blame..not all people we are just living our lives and evolving with technology and whatever..I hate how the news and you people on here act like its ALL HUMANS FAULT......like i have a f&*king choice??? its not my fault i was born and just lived lfe..and if we knew the world was going to end why do you people say all of us would act insane..if u guys wouldnt dont u think there is other people out there that wouldnt. Its hard to explain what i am trying to say im not good at explaining what i mean!!! but i wish people would stop blaming it on alllllll humans ..like i dont wanna hurt animals or trees..im not the one cutting down jungles and forests!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if there was something i could do to help i would..i recycle and do what i can!!!!!!!!

So what if the earth is destroyed in 30yrs. People die everyday. I have 2 die, u have 2 die. In 30 years u may be dead. My point is that it doesnt matter. In 120 years noone that is alive today will be alive then.

If its was an unavoidable fact? Probably re-divert all global funds and effort to NASA and similar orgs to get us the hell of the planet.
