Go and pick her up(kinda a date fantasy implanted in the minds of every girl) open the car door for her but try this, dont put her up front! Seriously Seat her in the passenger side back seat then hand her a rose to admire during her ride.(or just put it on the seat) If theres is a middle fold-down cupholder thing, have a glass of sparkling cider in a nice champagne glass waiting for her with a small box of chocolates setting beside it,(kinda like a Limo setting) but no alcoholic beverage(open container, bad news) sparkling cider is like champagne only tastes better and no alcohol! Play some soft music, classical is nice, sets the mood (if you know her fave band this is a major plus! She will be astounded you took the time to pay attention, and remember things she likes, HUGE TURN-ON, DEFINITE DATE MOVE!) When you get to your restaurant of choice, I would suggest looking up your local Bistro, authentic local food, great chefs and great quiet and romantic date setting, none of that loud chatter and clanging of dishes all around you. Best of Luck to you. Be creative and be thoughtful, girls love it when you ACTUALLY pay attention to what they like and act on it (for instance the favorite band) Be attentive to what she is saying and how excited she seems to be, this will tell you if she is enjoying herself and if she is comfortable with you. Okay, went overboard here, just excited for you is all.

I usually meet a guy on the first date because I don't know him that well... but I wouldn't want to go somewhere like Chilis. Take me somewhere nice, somewhere I haven't been before. Show me a new cuisine like spanish tapas or sushi. Brownie points for taking me somewhere on the first date that isn't a typical dinner and a movie thing. Take me for a walk in the woods, bring a picnic lunch. Something sweet like that would really impress me.

I think for her to meet you somewhere. There must be lots of people. There are a lot of phycho's out there(no offense) A girl really has to be careful. The first time in a car going down the road with no control, can sometimes, be a last mistake.Maybe on the second or third date you can pick her up.

It all depends, I guess. If I really like him a lot than I'd prefer a typical date where he comes and picks me up at home. I guess it sets the mood for the date, and there's nothing quite like that feeling of coming out of your room and seeing them sitting their nervously.
However, if I'm just getting to know him and I don't really know much about him, than I'd rather meet him in a public place for my own safety.

I prefer to meet up at a place wether it be the movies, or a nice place to eat. This would be because of safety reasons, unless you knew the guy for a while and then decided to go on that first date. If you knew him, and you both really liked eachother than I would meet him or he meet me at one of our homes and then go from there.

I would have to say it depends on the person I think most girls like when the guy picks her up opens her door and brings her flowers. Also yea I think it would be a good idea to take her to chilis.

depends on if you already know the person. Then pick them up. If you met through some kind of dating service meet in a very public place.

Well...if first impressions are everything, personally i would like an old fasioned date where the guy comes and picks me up and takes me to a movie or somewhere nice. Once we start dating it can get more casual, but if i get all dressed up to try and impress him, i think it's only fair that he brings out his best too. lol

I WOULD LIKE TO MEET THEM THERE AND GO SOMEWHERE CUTE BUT NOT CHILI'S, DEPENDS ON YOUR AGE I SUPPOSE. NOT FOR ME PICKING UP, 1ST DATE I PROBABLY DONT KNOW HIM THAT WELL, BUT TOO MANY MEN KNOWING WHERE YOU LIVE USE THAT AS AN OPPORTUNITY AFTERWARDS TO JUST COME BY, AND CAN PEEP IN ON YOUR HOME WATCH YOU, HURT YOU AND YOUR BELONGINGS. IF THE RELATIONSHIP IS DISCONTINUED, NO THANKS AND VICE VERSA FOR MEN THERE ARE STALKER WOMEN TOO, THAT AFTER 2 DATES FALL IN LOVE AND ARE BASHING IN YOUR WINDOWS BECAUSE YOU HURT THEM. BE CAREFUL BE VERY CAREFUL, I DONT NEED THE PROBLEMS I HAVE A DAUGHTER AND THINK ABOUT IT PHONE HARASSMENT IS BAD ENOUGH JUST TAKE YOUR TIME TO REALLY LET SOMEONE IN WATCH MORE CSI.

It definitely depends on how well I know you. I don't necessarily want you to know where I live for safety reasons. Nothing against you, personally, just erring on the side of caution.
If I know you well enough to be comfortable, absolutely pick me up at my place - open a car door, etc. Very chivalrous and major brownie points.
