Very good question. This is not as well documented as other aviation firsts.There are many timelines of aviation history which fail to mention it.

Charles Furnas, one of the Wrights' mechanics was the first passenger. May 14, 1908 at Kill Devil Hills near Kitty Hawk, NC. Wilbur Wright piloted the flight.
