No you can not apply, only legal immigrants are allowed in the US Military.

You could always, go back and apply for a green card and after recieving it, join the US Military.

Negative. An Illegal Alien cannot join the US Military. Only persons legally authorized to reside in the United States can enlist. Sorry Bro.

To apply to the service you need a copy of your birth certificate and a Social Security Number for pay purposes. If you are saying that you are illegal then you have neither of these. I have heard of out of towners joining the military, but u need to speak to a recruiter---- IF YOU CAN

"Requirements for each service vary, but certain qualifications for enlistment are common to all branches. In order to enlist, one must be between 17 and 35 years old for active service, be a U.S. citizen or an alien holding permanent resident status, not have a felony record, and possess a birth certificate. Applicants who are aged 17 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian before entering the service."

The truth is some do apply and are accepted. I must compliment you on wanting to serve the country if it is your goal to become an American citizen. Since the military is honorable as well as a powerful signal of this commitment, I assume you want this.
I am strongly against illegal immigration but also wish they had a route for some who would want a way to get on the list for advanced immigration. I think the military would be a good one, and shows your dedication to our country.

Good luck!

What is it you don't understand about the word ILLEGAL? You came to this country ILLEGALLY (you broke at LEAST one law). Go ahead, go to a recruiter and say HI, I'M AN ILLEGAL ALIEN AND I WANT TO JOIN THE ARMY. I'm SURE he/she'd be HAPPY to help you.

What a bunch of dumb answers. But I suspect that you already knew the answer.

No you cannot join. You have to be a legal resident alien and not in the process of becoming one, such as if you married a citizen last month or something.

I know a documented alien can enlist. I don't know about an illegal alien. There is a period of time that you are required to become a citizen. Good Luck.

You may be surprised to know that a number of conservatives are in full support of a quicker path to citizenship for those who served in the military. Thanks for even wanting to.
