We thought about renting a car, but if there is bus or train service to get us from shannon to ballyvaughan, doolin and the cliffs, that would be great. We plan on going to ennis also.

You probably would be better off renting a car. There is no train to these places and buses can prove to be very unreliable. Just pop out to shannon airport, there are several car rental companies based there, and there is also a tourist information office based there so you could plan your route and have places recommened before you start your trip.

Hope you enjoy your trip to Ireland 'Cead mile failte'

I'm sure tour buses exist, at least during the summer - I don't know anything about them.

But I reckon the best way to get around is by car.

Why do you want to go to Ennis!?
