Soak them in water overnight. Cover with about 1 inch of water, drain in a strainer the next day and save the water the apples soaked in to make a cornstarch thickener. Mix sugar (to taste) with cornstarch, about two heaping tablespoons, together. Add the cold water from the apple soak and stir over a medium heat--use a pot to hold about 4 cups, as you will be adding the apples to the same pot. At this point you will need to decide if the water you added to the cornstarch mix is too much or too little, depending on how thick it turned out. Since there will still be some liquid in the apple slices, you may want to stir them in to see if that makes the mix too thick or too thin...too thin, cook a little longer, too thick, add a little water.
If you want spices, you could add them to the top of the apples when you put the filling into the pie shell. Or you could stir it into the apple mix while still in the pot. A pat of butter or margarine, some grated orange or lemon peel, or a squeeze of lemon juice will highlight the flavor of the finished pie.
Because you are using an unusual method of making apple pie (by today's methods, that is,) You will have to use your own judgment all along the way. It may turn out different, but it should be delicious.

Well, start by geting fresh water instead of water with the vitamins, sometimes they wont drink it because the taste. So start with fresh water, then if u have a new sponge (Dont use anythingthat had been used on dishes) or even a water dropper, and hold it in your hand, and every couple minutes, drop some water into his mouth.(u can also use the hamster botle itseelf) But u dont want to get it anywhere else other than the mouth, because u can drown him! In fact, if you can, use Q-tips and do it that wy, itd be MUCH safer than a water dropper. but if u diont have any, just use the water botle or dropper. Just be super careful! Good luck and i hope shell be ok!!!

You could use apple juice or apple cider to pop the flavor. soak them overnight or start them in a cold pan and bring them to a simmer. then drain them and mix in filling ingredients. you could add in a little apple liquor too.
