I believe he is. Christians will tell you he is not.
Gandhi also said he would become a Christian if he ever met one. Despite being around "Christians" for several years of his life he felt he had never met one and died a Hindu.

The Bible clearly states this: " Be not deceived, God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sows, that will he also reap." You cannot have it both ways. If you reject God, and His gift of salvation that He freely offers to those who ask and believe in Him, then there are consequences for that choice. Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people. Reject God...reject Heaven. It is that simple. There is no gray area here. People will tell you that everyone is going to Heaven. That is wrong. They are in complete denial. Their eyes will be open some day, perhaps when it is too late to make the right choice. Perhaps after they've taken their last breath, and denied God for the last time. God is the only way to heaven. To reject that is to seal your own destiny in Hell. God does not send anyone to hell, people make up their own minds to self-destruct by choosing to reject His salvation. Religion will never save anyone, only a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ will save an individual. When we truly seek Him with all our heart, we will find eternal life. Anything less is not going to get you to Heaven. I'm just reporting the facts, I didn't write the Book. But I have an awesome relationship with the writer. He is my joy and my salvation.

NO WAY!! Mahatma Ghandi was a good man and all, but he wasn't a true Christian, and he didn't let Jesus take over his life or anything. It clearly states in the Bible that only true Christians go to Heaven. People who are in with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Seeing as Ghandi was a HINDU i don't think he went to heaven!
Hope i helped!
PS - u can't tell im a Christian, by any chance??

I don't think he rejected Jesus. Read Paramahansa Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi, he talks intimately about Ghandi's life. I think that Ghandi has a safe spot along side of God.

Ghandi lived according to the new commandment as proclaimed by Jesus Christ.
Heaven is for those it was prepared for...only God decides who go to heaven.

John 3: The Words of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh)
3. "Verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
4. Nicodemus saith unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"
5. Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God."
6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

Mahatma Gandhi was a man who was personally acquainted with the ministry of John G. Lake, a turn of the century apostle to South Africa whose ministry included signs and miracles. He had ample opportunity to embrace the message of God's reconciliation through the blood of His Son.
If he rejected this message, and presumed to commend himself on the basis of his own righteousness, then he perished in his sins. "That which is highly esteemed among men, is detestable in the sight of God" (Luke 16:15)

I have no doubt Gandhi is in heaven. As for his view of Christ, here's a quote from the man during the years he was struggling to free his fellow countrymen from the (suposedly Christian) invaders then ruling India: "I like your Christ--I don't like your Christians."
