French or German will help build your English vocabulary, in addition to having a second language (though Americans looking for the most 'useful' language generally choose Spanish because of the huge and growing Hispanic population in the US). French is also of some (limited) use if you plan to travel or do business in Quebec or some parts of Africa & Asia.
German is of greatest use if you want a better understanding of the roots of the English language. Even then, a linguistics course may serve you better.
Last, if you wish to learn more languages one day, taking two or more of these (including Russian) will build your language learning skills. Russian uses a completely different alphabet (cyrillic) which excites some students and intimidates others.
Pros: Lots of English vocabluary is based on French or German. German and Russian are phonetic (pronounced the way they're spelled). French is the most widely used of the three, outside of Eastern Europe.
Cons: If you're American you'll get little practice outside of class in any of them unless you travel abroad or join an organization like the Alliance Francaise (a school that provides lessons on French language and culture outside of standard classrooms).
Good luck - and have fun!

I think it depends what profession or job or business are u in. I think learning french as a hobby is a good option. German as for a prfessional touch. Russian a slight tougher but is used in my countries still. The most useful is French...
