The only way I would pay that much money for a brownie - or any food for that matter - was if it was at auction, and the auction was for charity.

NO brownie is worth $1000 bucks. Not even if it was prepared by Chef Ramsey.

The same people who are willing to pay a thousand bucks for a pair of shoes, I guess ;-) As to whether I would pay that much for a brownie - if I were wealthy, and the proceeds went to a good cause, then I might; otherwise, it's just a gimmick.

Well I wouldn't but I'd like to meet the people who would. I'm a glass blower and I like making big expensive peices. The kind of people that would spend $1000 on a browny are the kind of people who would buy big work. I've been told, by gallery owners, about people who look at a big peice of art and turn their noses up if its less than $25000. Now thats my kind of client.

I don't think anyone is going to pay $1,000 to eat that brownie except maybe Bill Gates. Hmmm...come to think of it I think Bill Gates would rather give the $1,000 to charity. Okay than I'm back to my first answer "NOBODY"!
