not exactly the question, but at least here these options are not sufficintly cheaper than granite, so I'd go with the real thing

The biggest difference would be that with Corian, You can't just buy it off the shelf. "DuPont" has made it so that one needs to be licensed to sell and Manufacture Corian. Thus making it way to Pricey. The others can be done by most good finish carpenters.
I will say though, That Corian is a much nicer product

Have you looked at Swanstone? It is very beautiful, and comes in many colors. I've found it more heat resistant than Corian. Best of all it's cheaper, and has a lifetime guaranty.

Colour, price and workability are three differences. I choose LG Hi-Macs distributed by Gunnersen(http://www.gunnersens.com.au/products/himacs.htm) because it’s a better in all three areas.

Different manufactures offer different names for very similar synthetic hard surfaces.
