State Farm. No, its not the cheapest, but you have an agent and agents anywhere in the country you can turn too in case of an accident. Internet and independents are not going to support you like State farm or Country Companies. If you keep your driving record clean and drive safely you can reduce your premiums as you get older. Now, motorcycle?? You may want to think about that, or be prepared to pay. But think of why.

Rates are going to depend on the area you live in and your driving records. A 2007 is going to be expensive to insure ecspecially since she's a new driver. Motorcycles are usually cheaper. But again that depends where you live. Where I live half the year it's to cold to be on a motorcycle so the rates are cheaper. You need to have atleast 100/300 (thousand) don't get the minimum the state requires. If you get in a wreck and are sued the minimum isn't going to cover that and you'll be losing everything you own if they win. Go for higher deductibles that helps the price alot. Shop around, every company is different and quotes are free.

why would you put your gf on the same insurance as you?? I would have her pay for her's and you for your own.
your going to jack up your insurance rates because:
1. she's a new driver (your young too, so your rates will also be higher because of that - two young'uns on the same policy, not a good idea)
2. she's not taking drivers ed.
3. any new car (2007) will cause you to have higher rates

I use Geico. They give fair rates, and are reliable when accidents happen.

there is not any "kin plan" life insurance. you purchase a separate coverage for each man or woman. And a "earnings" coverage is a terrible reductions account - it costs approximately 10X as much as a non- earnings coverage, and you in basic terms get approximately 10% of you cash back.

Not to worry, you won't find cheap and unsafe. At 18, without drivers training and a brand new car which will have to have full coverage she won't find anything but very expensive.
