Keep them guessing. Let them think they're in control of the situation or that things are happening naturally.
If you hint at what is coming next in a relationship, it could scare them off if it's not exactly what they had in mind, or make them frustrated if it's not happening the way they had envisioned.

just drop some hints... but don't be too obvious. us girls are pretty good at piecing things together... well, some of us are anyway. or maybe just say something as simple as "i've got a surprise for you" and leave it at that. she'll be wondering whats in your head all day.
