No we are not servants of GOD ! We are sons and Daughters of God. Its our duty to serve our CREATOR. Like our duty is to look after our parents. You can be servant of God only if you pray for everyone irrespective of the religion and the color of skin. You perform your duties for humanity and you are servant of GOD !

You can't be a slave of evil if you are serving God. How service for Him is not being a servant in the sense of waiting on tables or cleaning a house. He calls us children and friends. He wants the heart of a servant, for us to be willing to serve Him wherever He needs us even if it's just answering questions at the moment.

A servant is a person who is hired to provide regular household or other duties, and receives compensation. (wikipedia) On the other hand, Slave is a person who is owned by someone. So even if evil is always trying to make us its slaves, it's in our hands to remember that our contract with God is life. Therefore we are here to spread that life in any way possible. If you become slave of evil (which occurs because you choose to) through many of the ways that we already know and live with anyways (TV, drugs, etc) you are likely to remain in that state till you reach death.... So I'd rather to receive compensation, but you first have got to work!!!
GOOD LUCK

NO!! WE ARE NOT SERVENTS OF GOD BUT WE ARE CO-CREATORS WITH GOD...
That is why God did not create absolutely everything possible.. He created the things that we most necessarily need and the He gave us the Brains so that we ourselves can medlle around, think, evaluate and make Discoveries and Inventions.
Some inventions we did good and some inventions we messed up leading to a lot of problems...

John 8:34 Jesus said , verily, verily , I say unto you , whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
John 8:35 And the servant abideth not forever: but the Son abideth ever.
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
We are children of GOD ;not his servants
Rom. 8 :16 " The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Rom 8 :17 " and if children , then heirs ; heirs of God.."
i hope you got your answer ;to enlighten yourself read THE LIVING BIBLE.
GOD BLESS YOU.

I liked your sincerity and innocence in posing this question.
Let me know whether the status of a servant or slave is better?
I understand here God means to be pious and righteous.
Evil means cruel and wicked. Slave is treated cruel only.
Servant at least treated not that bad.
Indian scriptures say that God becomes servant to his devotees.God holds his devotees in high esteem and comes to their rescue if any one causes harm to his devotees.
It is said God may spare fellows causing harm to him but not to his devotees.

If thats what you really indent to do, start an Elders Home and take care of the Old People who are abandoned by their children. That way you can be "Servant of God" or an "Angel" to these old people. God will bless you.

Well, if you want to be, you can be a servent of god. But remember god doesn;t want us to be a servent, instead god wants our prayers to relise and to reach god. That;s all what god wants from us.

well you see I myself am a Christian, being a Christian doesn't nessecarily mean that you have to be His servant it just means that you should do what He wants you to do because you know in your heart that it's the right thin to do do you have a Bible if you don't you might want to consider getting one you see you become a Christian by knowing what God did for you and believing it in your heart you need to know that God sent His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for all your sins and that three days after His death he rose again He loves you very much and if you accept Him you will go to heaven and if not... well lets not go there FOLLOW YOUR HEART : )

They both sound like bad choices to me. I am neither a servant nor a slave to anyone or anything but myself. I have control over my own life, and have the ability to choose what to do for myself.
A loving god, of any kind, would not have to demand or even request worship, praise, or glorification, because he/she/it would get it because he/she/it would deserve it. My gods do not request or demand anything - but I give to them freely. A gift is always more meaningful when it isn't asked for.
