coming from america do i need a passport? also i would like to live there someday, what requirements do i need to fulfill to do that?

You need a passport to travel anywhere outside of the US. This includes Mexico, Canada and the Virgin Islands now.

Passport? Of course you need a passport and a visitors visa as well.
For migration on permanent basis you have to sit a test
we are fussy who we let in here!

Here is the basic question criteria for consideration of entry:
Can you read write and speak Austalian?
Can you play cricket?
What do you understand by the letters A.F.L
Desribe Australian Rules football in a paragraph
Will you be prepared to renounce baseball as a sport
Can you swim, ride a bike, rope a horse?
Are you prepared to have your Barbeque skills assessed by Merv Hughes?
What are Fosters, Coopers, Swan, West End, 4X?
What is the captol of Australia ( if you say Sydeny we deport you immediately)
Where is the head of our Prime minister? ( you should find the answer to this one somewhere around the white house)

Of course you need a passport. You cant go anywhere without a passport

Yes you need a passport. Once you visit there I'm sure there would be some gov't agencies over there to help you with information about living there.
