The music on limewire use to be really good but now most of it is crap and it does not even bring up the songs you request. What happened?

Because limewire has been flooded by agents of the RIAA with fake files to discourage downloading. It's an inevitable result to any P2P program. Someone will always invent a new one and people will just migrate over.

Limewire is last decades system. Those in the know belong to forums where whole albums can be downloaded and requests are filled with virus-free, top quality mp3s

It could be related to their legal troubles. Since so many people use Limewire to illegally pirate music, movies and software, they are facing millions (or even billions) of dollars in fines and legal bills. Also, since the copyright holders know that criminals are using Limewire, they're shutting people down, tracking them and planting fake files to try and stop the massive piracy.

I noticed that, too. It is especially annoying when you do a search for a specific song, and the first thing that pops up, and this has done this on most of my recent searches, is some "hilarious prank phone call" file. Makes me wish I would have saved my money, and not gotten limewire pro.

Re-install it this might update the spftware. If I were you, I would get rid of it altogether it's crap.
