Keep leftovers safe and flavorful by refrigerating or freezing them soon after the meal is over. The food safety recommendation is to refrigerate leftovers within two hours of when the food is put on the table.

It is a good idea to label the leftover packages with the date on which they were frozen.

Also, I try to eat leftovers within 3-4 days. If you bring leftovers from a restaurant, my rule of thumb is if it is less than half of my meal, I dont bag it up. I have friends with tons of doggy bags from each day of the week. IMPORTANT: make sure you throughly heat the leftovers. And you nose knows best. If it has a foul odor (slight or strong) throw it out!!!!

According to food safety regulations, about 4 hrs out of the fridge (total) and those enchiladas would be poison.... if you've kept them in the frindge, they are fine... but they may taste funny now, you know foods absorb other foods flavors and aromas.

I wouldn`t eat anything older than 4 days max in the fridge, after being cooked.

most food is good for 3-4 days maximum as leftovers in the fridge. Depends on the ingredidents. how cold your fridge is and all of that. My rule is, when i doubt, throw it out. it's not worth getting food poisioning and being sick for days just to not waste food. good luck '

i trust my nose, if it smells bad, toss it. If i can't remember when i put it in there, toss it. if it has fuzz on it, toss it. I have been know to eat something that is about 5-6 days old and I am fine. I always refrigerate right after dinner is over and my fridge is very cold. If you are unsure about eating it, i wouldn't eat it. You might psychologically cause yourself to get sick.

according to health and hygiene in the fridge for 3 days no longer, that's only if you put it there as soon as it was cool enough and that could be anything from 10 to 20 mins

technically anything should be eaten or chucked within 3 days and should have been covered well for three days.fridge temp should be between 1 and 5 degrees or won't do its job very efficiently at all. if you are going to reheat anything make sure it gets to at least 73 degrees and remember rice is one of the worst things in terms of food poisoning-personally i wouldnt even risk reheating it, just bin it but if you are going to it needs to get to about 85 degrees

it depends how tough your stomach is.
I'd eat them. but then my stomach is like lead.
Some people just have weak stomachs. Put it this way, I hate it when friends just bin food after like not even half a day. Think of all the starving people in the world that would eat that food without a second thought. You could get food poisoning but its highly unlikley.
