I have a daughter now 13 and This is what I did for her 11th birthday party; I rented a hotel suite and let her invite several of her friends. We rented movies, ordered pizza and the girls played games and stayed up all night doing what 11 year old girls do..lol
This was alot of fun with very little clean up for me and we have done this for the last 2 years in a row at her request.

I let my 11 yr old daughter have a sleepover. It was a big success . I was surprised at the things they are still willing to do at that age, things that most people assume they wouldnt do. Such as singing birthday songs, playing games like musical chairs, pin the tail on the donkey, even sitting on big balloons until they burst. It was a riot. Dont forget the cake and ice cream and movies.

How about a cooking party? Google it and there will be tons of ideas from easy (pizza) to more advanced ideas. You can get mini cake tins and have each child make their own & decorate it to take home, get some aprons from Oriental Trading & have them decorate those, give them each some spatulas and measuring spoons etc as favors.
