Unsolicited preaching. Actually it's more like "faith marketing". It's all about recruitment...

Well to some, proselytizing is like the message about the iceberg ahead that went unheeded by the Captain of the Titanic...unheeded, unread.
Delivering the message is the right thing to do. Listening or not is the individual's choice.
Just remember, no one believed the Titanic would ever sink either. And it's passengers were blissfully ignorant in their false sense of security.

To share one's beliefs with another. For some, it means to go out and approach others and share your beliefs. For me, however, I think that can turn people off and make them want to turn a deaf ear to what you are saying, unless you are just naturally good with people. For me, to proselytize is to share my beliefs when the opportunity presents itself.

To proseytize is to:
Induce someone to convert to one's own religious faith, political party or doctrine.
What it means to me is what I see here everyday and the types of religions that send missionaries or people door to door to "spread the good news".

Trying to "sell" someone your religion, that is, convert them. Frequently tried, but not always very effective.

To me it means "Going out of your way to tell others that your religion is right and theirs is wrong, therefore they should convert to your way of thinking."
