French Cornichon and some German one's, I worked in the Hotel industry in Canada and we got one's from France, Poland and German, not very big about the size of your small finger, very sour, used more for garnishes with pate`, in remoulade sauce and with fish dishes.

Yes, almost all pickles for the catering trade are sold in tins. Our local supermarket stocks canned dill pickles. Authentic Indian pickles are also canned

i have never seen nor bought CANNED pickles-- although many ppl refer to the method of preserving them as canning
