Lets see--The radical side of "religion" goes out into the streets burning effigies, calling the destruction of a nation(s), forcing their female counterparts to wear burkas, forcing on their children "jihad" ethics to accomplish "martyrdome", killing in the name of 'allah" (which means God), killing their own because they will not "conform", crashing planes into buildings, blowing up passenger trains and busses crammed with people and countless other atrocities unmentioned, all in the name of an ideology. Hitler tried it--only thing is this has a religious twist to it. On the flip side-- There are those who say if you would like to have a >choice< to accept one's faith--you are free to do so, without any condemnation. You are free to ask questions and challange their faith--without worrying they'll take you out to the soccer field goal post and hang you for doing so. The question is--which one would you rather choose?

Hitler didn't give people a choice either and like you said, that had nothing to do with religion. Radical people create radical ideas and usually try and force them on others, it's not always about religion.
And last time I checked, believers don't threaten to hang people in soccer fields for not converting...you must live in a different country.

Don't bother messaging me if you're just going to turn off your email option so I can't respond back to you. That's weak.
God did not write the Bible, some old men did. God did not say he'd spit anyone out of his mouth for being "lukewarm" ....did your pastor tell you that? Does he also tell you when it's ok to eat and sleep?
People who take the Bible literally like you do, are the ones who are turning the entire population into Atheists. People are getting sick of hearing that crap, you can't use the Bible to justify anything except the fact that Christianity is severely flawed.

This is why Shi'ites give the rest of us a bad name. You can't generalize an entire religion based on the actions of a few. If Allah wills something to happen, it will. Not all of us Muslims plan to blow up a building as a suicide bomber. And I accept that YOUR faith is YOUR choice. I will not try to force you into Islam. And I also accept any questions regarding my faith. I would be happy to answer.

All religions have their radicals.Christians have those people who beat up gays and blow up abortion clinics and murder abortion doctors and carry signs that say "God hates fags".That is why I am spiritual and not religious.I choose no religion. But it would seem that radicals of any faith try to force their views both politically and violently onto others. It is not isolated to just one faith because one faith has been in the news and done some big story acts.Thousands have died in the 70' and 80's and into the 90's over a question of Protestant versus Catholic.

Great question. May I add:
..."conversion by the sword"
..."beheading infidels"
..."religious police" roaming the streets and severely beating
and jailing those who don't conform"
...."executing women who have been raped because "they" must have done something to deserve it"
The list goes on and on.
"Religion of Peace"? ......Yeah...right.
I'll chose the God that loves us and the religion that doesn't countenance beheadings and lying to further it's beliefs.

I believe everyone has to come up with their own beliefs and if you do get challenged you should have an open mind and then if you don't change your mind then tell them so. Every time someone challenges my belief it makes me think and it makes me have more faith in my belief. The challenge makes me learn more about myself and have deeper faith so bring it on nay sayers, you make my arguements stronger.

That's quite a false dichotomy you've got there. Is it just based on ignorance, or is there a little hate mongering thrown in?
