One thing you can do is get a water fountain for them. They sell them in pet stores. You fill a bowl, fill a resevoir, and fresh water will cycle through a filter in a little 'waterfall' for them. My cats absolutely love it, and will drink directly from the 'waterfall' all the time. Then you just need to clean when you can see the bowl getting dirty or you have to refill- the filter takes care of keeping the water clean, AND it keeps it fresh, so it's not stagnant water.

I have 2 cats and I have 4 water dishes setting around in different places(1 in basement-1 in bedroom- 1 in bathroom- 1 in t.v room-) and they use all of them, however I change all 2 times a day, but the one in the bedroom gets the most use, and I change it 4-5 times a day, because my male cat will stand in front of it and wait till I put fresh in, before drinking. I would say normally 2 times a day is sufficient, but if you're around and want to change more often,do so,as I think they really like the fresh water best, and of course we want them to drink fresh water.

That is fine-I change my cats water once a day, unless one of them "washes" a foot in the bowl. For some reason they like to dip their feet in the bowl now and then. Sounds like you are fine-just remember to wash the bowls on a regular basis too.

Twice a day is plenty. I only change my cats' water once daily! As long as they have clean water to drink, they will be fine.

I change mine every day , fill it up in hte morning before you get to work and then check it again once you get home from work and once before oyu go to bed. the warmer it is outside the more you have to add. also wash hte bowl everyday so saliva does not build up in to bowl. also remember theis how much water do you drink a day and try an apply this to oyur kitty. she/he will love you for this. I have 2 kittys and I spoil tehm with bottle water.

two is good, on really warm days make it three and drop and ice cube in it when its hot, cats love cold water, my cat jumps in the tub when hes thirsty and i turn on the facet very low so it dribbles.
remember to clean your tub before bathing or shower though.

One to two times a day is fine, unless it's getting dirty from their mouth...dirt in wiskers.
