Any war is undesirable and brings destruction and death. Everyone must crave for peace and do everything to stop the war. Maybe the war is between muslims and christians, but we must do everything to put sense into either of the party, because if even one of them seriously wants peace, there is a chance of evading the war, and all the evils associated with the war. The 3rd world war, would be more destructive and quick than both the 1st and 2nd world wars put together. We have weapons of mass destruction, that kill thousands in seconds. The outcome of the war is also highly unpredictable, and may not go to the stronger. Therefore forget ego, forget pride, think of your children, and pray to god that we have no more wars. Have we not evolved enough to make peace with our brothers, however annoying they may be.

Civilizations will survive only if we are ever able to abandon all religions. Religion and chaos are the two sides of one and the same coin. Peace and harmony will not exist as long as we are bent on following our own religion. And the history of thousands of years has proved it.
Even the Gandhis and Budhas can not help us attain the civil peace in the face of religious beliefs. Human mind is too weak to make itself up for religious harmony. There is no point in preaching people to live in harmony when our societies are riddled with religious disagreements.
The Third World War would certainly be called a War of Religions. And if at all a civilization survives this unsurvivable war, they would then realize what it takes to free this earth of further wars. But then, it would be too late.
But what are we talking about ? The Third World War is already on, only that we haven't realized it !

Why don't you do some research on how that peace thing worked out for the Tibetans. While their spiritual leader was whisked off to a country with nuclear weapons for protection, they were left to be slaughtered by the Chinese and are becoming almost extinct today.
They do have the high moral ground though. Not the Dali Lama - but the Tibetan People who stayed and let themselves be slaughtered and imprisoned with no resistance.
I don’t know what you are talking about as far as a war between Muslims and Christians. Radical Muslims are at war with all non Muslims including you. If you want to have the high moral ground why don’t you go to Iraq or Afghanistan with no weapons and preach peace and see what happens to you?

Really?? Muslims and Christians????
Then why is it there is so often blood shed between the Muslims and Hindus in Bangalore sometimes even over uncalled for reasons? And have you ever noticed that it is the Christians, Sikhs, and people of other minor religions who seem to receive the brunt of those communal riots?
It doesn't matter which religion. It's in the heart of man to compete with the other each wanting to be better than the other.
There's this Muslim refugee girl from Afghanistan and a Muslim refugee from Bosnia. Both are Muslims (sisters) yet they were fist fighting over cultural differences in America!!!! They came here bacause they wanted peace and what do they do?
So, it has nothing to do with religions at all. From one individual's heart stems the desire to hurt and before long the countries take over.
Each one should live peacefully with one another.

they have the UN, the press, a million organisations working for peace that can stop any war. We need to accept other faiths and learn to live with one another peacefully, otherwise it is going to be difficult. I hope the theosophical society plays a positive role in bringing humanity together. other like mai, sai baba, dalai lama etc are trying their best to bring peace into this world.

Well, if Islamics have their way in 100 years there won't be any Hindus left. Yu do know Hindus are on their hit list. They want ALL of India, but will settle for half right NOW, just like North Korea settles for half right now. They want ALL of Kasmir, right now.
Remember, dead Hindus don't a religion make. They make for an ex-religion.
Survival of the fittest. Exitinction of the weak. Then you ban and burn all the books and in 200 years no will remember.

No actually theis world was made to fight because the ruler over it started this battle in Heaven and it continues here until the ruler is cast down.Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Because of this battle there will be war until one of them is cast down; Ezekiel 31:16 I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.
